Dorset History Centre
In 2017 Dorset History Centre won an HLF bid to open up the archives of the Bankes family at the National Trust’s Kingston Lacy.
For their application they needed some designs and visual ideas to tickle the tastebuds of the good folk at the HLF, to show them that their ambitions were real and realisable. They wanted a brand and some aspirational, exciting designs to generate momentum behind their bid.
We designed a logo – unlocking the Bankes archive – and gave weight to the History Centre’s bid with a series of artist’s impressions of exhibitions and displays, both at Kingston Lacy and also at the Priest’s House Museum in nearby Wimborne.
They got the gig! And throughout the project we were also asked to design information panels for a touring exhibition, leaflets and a graphic identity for the project.
