RNLI
The RNLI came to us wanting to tell their incredible stories to visitors at some of their larger lifeboat stations. It’s a compelling experience to read about tales of rescue while you’re next to the actual boat that makes those rescues.
We designed and developed exhibitions at Aldeburgh, Hastings, Padstow and The Lizard – some of the most beautiful and dramatic locations imaginable, telling remarkable stories of 175 years of bravery and courage.
A working lifeboat station is a tricky exhibition space. At any moment it can become a high-pressure environment and you don’t want things blocking the route to the boat. We had to design everything with a view to it being away from the crew if they needed to react to a shout. To do this we liaised carefully with the teams in the stations, the volunteers and the regional marketing teams.
The year we spent on heritage displays for the RNLI was one of our most enjoyable. You can’t praise the RNLI too much.
